We are proud to spotlight Logan Beatty, a Barry Goldwater Scholarship, Summa Cum Laude graduate in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami and a current Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology PHD candidate. Earning a 4.0 GPA, he was actively involved in several student organizations at the University of Miami, including the Biomedical Engineering Society, Tau Beta Pi, Inspire U Academy, and TAMID. In these organizations, he held various leadership roles, including but not limited to president. His studies covered immunoengineering, regenerative medicine, cellular engineering, and advanced biomaterials. Currently, Logan is pursuing a PhD in the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Medical Engineering and Medical Physics (HST MEMP) program, specializing in biomaterials and immunoengineering for cancer and autoimmune diseases. His research experience spans both the U.S. and Spain, and he has been recognized with multiple national awards, including the Goldwater Scholarship, the NSF GRFP Fellowship, and the Tau Beta Pi Scholarship. Logan is also dedicated to building a strong alumni network for LTI graduates and mentoring future leaders. He stated, “LTI is really exciting to me because I see it as an opportunity to stay connected with UM as an alumnus and contribute to the future of an organization that I believe will have a significant impact in the Canes community and beyond.” We are excited to support him in his future endeavors and look forward to his continued achievements.
