We are proud to spotlight Emily Danzinger, a senior triple majoring in Political Science, International Studies, and Public Advocacy at the University of Miami. She has been recognized as a Newman Civic Fellow and is currently interning with the Lawdragon-recognized Blue Highway Advisory Firm. In her short time as an intern with BHA, Emily has worked with media managers by discussing creators' rights, participating in congressional hearings, and collaborating with a team of experienced professionals. Her leadership roles include serving as President of the UM Debate Team, Editor-in-Chief of UMiami Scientifica Magazine, Program Director of WVUM 90.5 FM, and Director of Student Relations at the George P. Hanley Democracy Center. Having grown up in South Florida in a blended Cuban-Jewish household, Emily is no stranger to uncomfortable conversations and the dangers of "us vs. them" mentalities. Emily's creation of an on-campus civic deliberation program through the Hanley Democracy Center has earned her the prestigious Newman Fellowship for Civic Engagement. She is dedicated to exploring a legal career that aims to bridge the gap between foundational law and political strategy, particularly in relation to increasingly unregulated campaign finance procedures. In addition to her academic pursuits, Emily appreciates LTI for providing her the opportunity to connect with driven leaders on campus and beyond. She looks forward to continuing these multifaceted conversations with both current and future members, believing that true progress blossoms through diverse collaboration. We are excited to support her in her future endeavors and look forward to her continued achievements.
